Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, son-in-law, brother-in-law, father-in-law, and friend transitioned quietly surrounded by his family to his heavenly home on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at the age of 80 years old. Mr. James Curry was born on May 29, 1944, in Archibald, Louisiana to the late Ed and Maggie Curry.
James relocated to Saginaw, Michigan in December 1964, and became employed at the Grey Iron Foundry in January 1965. He retired after 53 years of service. James also began purchasing rental houses and became one of Saginaw’s landlords for over 40 years. He really enjoyed working on his rental properties.
James was a hardworking, gentle, kind, and generous man. Anytime he could lend a helping hand, he would. He opened his home on more than one occasion to family members without a second thought. But his deepest passion was the love for his family. James was a loving, devoted husband who adored his wife, and she adored him too. He was a proud father and grandfather who loved to share what was going on in their lives. He truly loved his family and spending time with them. Another one of his favorite pastimes was to get in his car and ride, making sure to stop at the car lots to take a quick peek. James will be missed by all who knew and dearly loved him.
James leaves to cherish his beautiful memory, his loving and devoted wife of 32 years, Katherine Renee Curry; one daughter and son-in-law, Tanika C. and Jeffery Williams; one granddaughter, SaNai K. Williams; one grandson, J. Mekhi P.
