Mr. Wayne Hawkins Smith

Mr. Wayne Hawkins Smith departed this earthly life on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at his residence. Age 70 years. He was born November 21, 1943 in Saginaw, Michigan to Edward and Mary Smith.
Wayne was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He attended Saginaw Public Schools and was a graduate of Saginaw High School. Wayne was a student at Delta College where he pursued a degree in Auto Mechanics. He was employed at several General Motors facilities. Wayne loved his family. He spent most of his days reminiscing about his loved ones, especially his children, Kevin and Robbin and his grandchildren. Wayne enjoyed reading and playing chess. Gone but never forgotten, he will be truly missed.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Robbin (Billy) Collins of Saginaw, Michigan and Reverend Kevin (Ebony) Smith of Woodbridge, Virginia; grandchildren, Kiana and Kameron Riley of Saginaw, Michigan, Edward Smith of Lansing, Michigan, Kevin Smith Jr. of Inglewood, California, Isaiah, Grace and Faith Smith of Woodbridge, Virginia; great-grandchildren, Aalisa and Aniyah Smith of Los Angeles, California; one sister, Inez Renfro; two nieces, Jackie Powell and Hilary Woods of Cleveland, Ohio; three nephews, Lonnie Simpson Jr. of Saginaw, Michigan, Richard and Steve Powell both of Cleveland, Ohio; many cousins including, Robert McDuffy and Barbara Johnson; mother-in-law, Hattie L. Strother; two sisters-in-law, Sandra (Robert) Mason and Eilene Watson; former spouse, Mary Ann Richards; many other relatives and friends.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Smith, grandparents, Calvin and Myrtle Jones, two sisters, Elizabeth Smith and Peggy Powell, two brothers, Edward and Chester Smith, two aunts, Beulah McNeely and Beatrice Clay, one brother-in-law, Donald Strother.
