Mrs. Bammer Kennedy-Manning

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Mrs. Bammer Ree Kennedy-Manning went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the age of 75 years. Bammer was born March 18, 1940 in Camden, Alabama, daughter of the late Henry and Carrie Kennedy. She married Sammel Lee Manning in 1969. He survives her.
Bammer accepted Christ at an early age and was a longtime member of New Friendship Baptist Church. She was employed as a Nursing Assistant for a many of years and enjoyed helping people in general. You could call her the Mother Theresa of Saginaw and she opened up her door to anyone. Her presence will truly be missed by a lot of people.
Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Sammel Lee Manning; her children, Patricia D. Harvey of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Sandra Y. Kennedy and Dietrich G. Kennedy both of Saginaw, Michigan; four grandchildren, Chanel, Jeremy and Taylor Kennedy and Kevin Rozenblad all of Saginaw, Michigan; one brother, John Southall of East Orange, New Jersey; sister-in-law, Lillie (Freddie) Moore; one god-son, David Clark; two god-daughters, Serena Anderson and Sparkle Whitehead; also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special nieces, Joanne Farrington and Cathy Hill; special nephew, Larry Hill and special cousins, Vivian (Anini) Boko and Winnie Felton; special friends, Manual Dunbar, Javier Bauza, Minnie Cooper and Johnnie Mae Essex.
Bammer was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Carrie Kennedy; one son, Charles H. Harvey; three sisters, Gussie Kennedy, Gladys Harvey and Ruth Hill and one brother, Oscar Kennedy.
The Kennedy and Manning family would like to send out a heartfelt thank you and notice of appreciation to the staff of St. Mary's of Michigan Medical Center, Pastor Edward Jackson and the New Friendship Baptist Church family, Odie (Brenda) Pruitt, Shana Collins, Karen Rogers-Perkins, Donald Reed, Trebora Washington, Ivan E. Phillips and the staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel. Your care and kindness will never be forgotten.
