Mrs. Tina McMillon

June 4, 1951 — May 27, 2024

Mrs. Tina McMillon, a cherished wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2024. She was born June 4, 1951, in Saginaw, Michigan to James and Mary Watson. Tina was a lifelong resident of Saginaw but spent the last 14 months residing in Memphis, Tennessee with her loving son and daughter-in-law.

Tina was a proud graduate of Saginaw High School and began her career at Consumers Power immediately after graduating. She dedicated many years to her work before retiring, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and hard work.

Tina’s life was centered around her family, with whom she spent countless hours creating treasured memories. Her love was limitless, and she made every moment with her loved ones special. She was always there with a listening ear, a comforting hug, and a bright smile. Tina had a servant’s heart and was the primary caregiver for her parents for 16 years. She provided them with exceptional care and made sure they were taken care of at all times. Her compassion and dedication to their well-being were a testament to her loving nature and selflessness.

Tina found pleasure in the simple joys of life. She was an avid dominoes player, sharing many laughs and competitive moments with her family. She enjoyed great music, loved to dance, shop, and watch the classic TV show "Columbo." Tina’s laughter was infectious, and her presence lit up any room she entered.

Tina’s profound love for God was evident in her many years of dedicated ministry. As Church Mother of Refreshing Life Ministries, she was always ready to help and serve wherever there was a need. She would often joke and say, “I’m too young to be the church mother.”

Her life was a testament to the power of love, and she leaves behind a rich legacy that will live on through her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, siblings, and all who called her a friend. While our hearts ache with her loss, we find solace in the countless beautiful memories she gave us.

Tina leaves to cherish her memory two beautiful children: son, Taj (Rasheena) McMillon, Memphis, TN, and daughter, Asha McMillon-Kutekila (Altino), Arlington, VA; grandchildren, Altino Jr. and Jackson Kutekila; one sister, Vera (Edward) Jones, Saginaw, MI.; three brothers, James (Mary) Watson, Theodore (Charity) Watson, and Cecil (Elease) Watson all of Saginaw, MI.; three sisters-in-law, Vera McMillon and Clairee Sanders, both of Saginaw, MI, and Dortha McMillon of Grand Rapids, MI; three brothers-in-law, Clinton McMillon Sr. of Saginaw, MI, John Charles (J.C.)
