Ms. Wilbur M. Gant

Ms. Wilbur Mae Gant peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on Monday, February 16, 2015 at the age of 87 years. She was born May 24, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan to Kilrain and Willie Bell Dennis.
Wilbur was a member of Bethel AME Church under the leadership of Pastor P. David Saunders. She had previously played the organ at Mt. Olive Institutional Missionary Baptist Church for 24 years. Wilbur had been employed with Saginaw Parks and Recreation, Saginaw Public Schools, Saginaw ISD and Millet Learning Center. She retired after 28 years of service.
She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Grover Tyrone (Barbara) McCloud; three special daughters, Beverly Willis, Jackie Thomas and Marilyn Renee Johnson; two grandchildren, Kizzie and Tyrone (Sherry) Haywood; two special in-laws, Herbert Gant and Needie Miles; many other relatives and friends.
Wilbur was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Gant, parents, Kilrain and Willie Bell Dennis.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Saginaw Geriatrics Nursing Home, the staff at Covenant Healthcare and everyone who offered condolences, prayers and kind words.
