Namon Mushatt

Mr. Namon Mushatt passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Covenant Healthcare-Harrison. Age 63 years. He was born August 30, 1949 in Lowndes, Alabama to George Mushatt and Minnie D. Miles.
Namon joined Rebecca Rome in holy matrimony on April 20, 2001. She survives him. He retired from Means Industries on October 30, 2010 after many years of faithful service. Namon was a member of Saginaw Bay Church of Christ. He coached childrens basketball teams in both Saginaw and Flint, Michigan. Namon was a player and a referee for several community basketball teams. He loved football season and was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Namon enjoyed family functions where there were picnics and games. Christmas and the 4th of July were his favorite holidays. Namon especially loved treating his wife like a queen, taking her to dinner and taking rides to new places as often as he could. He was a great man, husband and father and his presence will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
His memory will be cherished by his wife, Rebecca Mushatt Becca his children, Tanya R. (Brian) Wilson, Eric Mushatt, Kimberly M. Mushatt, Marques Pearson, Antonio J, Franklin, Matthew J. Bailey, Kristen N. (Joseph) Griffin, Namon Mushatt II, Dorrell W. Mushatt, KeSaundra A. Mushatt, Gavean R. Mushatt, Toni L. Mushatt; fifteen grandchildren; four sisters, Mary McCall, Lily (James) Perkins, Georgia May Barney, Minnie Mushatt; six brothers, George (Relinda) Mushatt Jr., McKinley Mushatt, Dan (Octavia) Mushatt, David (Judy) Mushatt, Joseph (Sebrina) Mushatt Blackmon, Jessie (Georgia) Mushatt; his special cousins, Atlene Smith and Charlie Timmons; many other relatives and friends including special friends Kossie McCaskey, Alexander Bracket.
Namon was preceded in death by his parents, George Mushatt and Minnie Miles, brother, Hardie Mushatt, his twin brother, Amos Mushatt.
