The Obituary

Early Life
Minister Natalie Lorraine Edwards was born on August 2, 1958 to the union of the late Bishop Nathaniel Edwards, Sr. and Diane Charlene Briggs in Detroit, Michigan. She was the second child born to this union. Natalie was baptized in the name of Jesus in 1965 and shortly after received the precious gift of the holy ghost. She went from Labor to Reward Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at the age of 61 years old.

Education/Family Life
Natalie was educated in the Detroit Public School System and graduated from Southeastern High School in 1976. She obtained her Business degree from Lansing Community College. She was pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education as she worked at Burcham Hills Assisted Living Facility in East Lansing. Natalie was an entrepreneur. Besides her facilities management company she previously owned and managed We Care Day Care Center in Georgia. In 1982, Natalie met and married Joe James, Sr. and to this union five children were born. Natalie was a faithful member at Clinton Street Greater Bethlehem Temple of Detroit and was transformed to a new approach to life inspired by the Apostolic doctrine and way of life. Through the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith (PCAF), True Churches of the Apostolic Faith (TCAF), and The Apostolic Tower of Power. In the Great Lakes Conference of Michigan, Natalie served as the Chairperson of the State Youth Dept. from 1979-1982. Natalie led with divine guidance all those who touched her life and with saint-like determination she became an example of leadership, family values, living life with a purpose, and selfless sacrifice to everyone she encountered. She was ordained into the ministry under her pastor, Bishop Calvin McDaniel of Atlanta, Georgia.

The Legacy
Minister Natalie James leaves to cherish her loving memory and carry on her legacy: her devoted and loving children: Jeannive, Joe (Jennifer), Daniel (Danae), and Michael; 6 Grandchildren: Christiana (13), Aubrey (10), Chris Jr. (10), Nathan (9), Riley (5), and Ayden (1); her sisters and brothers: Jean Pinkard of Farmington Hills, Michigan, Nathaniel Jr. (Lorraine) of Ypsilanti Township, Michigan, William of Kalamazoo, Michigan, John of Southfield, Michigan, Jerome (Carla) of Lansing, Michigan, Karen Prince (Alphonse-deceased) of Stockbridge, Georgia, Haywood of Lansing, Michigan, Diane Edwards of Norwalk, Connecticut, Dawn Kellum (Nolan) of Okemos, Michigan, Donna Grinstead (Norman) of Farmington Hills, Michigan, Jason (Simone) of Coral Springs, Florida, and Julonia of Detroit, Michigan; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, friends and saints of the most high God.

She was preceded to Glory by her daughter, Angelica Michelle, her parents, and three of her fifteen siblings, Lola Laverne, Julia Ann, and Michael.
