Nichole Keckler-Cooley (Lansing)

Ms. Nichole Agnes Cooley was born on Wednesday, January 3, 1979, in Lansing, Michigan to parents, Ronald J. and Teresa E. Cooley. She passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the tender age of 45 years.

Nichole was born and raised in Lansing, Michigan and was baptized at St. Therese’s Catholic Church. Nichole had a deep passion for helping others, which led to her having a career in healthcare; specifically assisting end-of-life Hospice patients. Nichole provided excellent care for each of her patients, ensuring they felt loved and cared for every day. When she wasn’t caring for others, you would find her at home adding another dolphin to her vast collection, singing along to her “old school” music playlists, or even drawing on anything that was in arm’s reach. When the outdoors called, Nichole could be found in the back country camping with a line in the water waiting for her toes to dry. 

Caring for others and being one with nature wasn’t the only things Nichole loved, however. She was always baking cakes, fixing on cars, hanging drywall and always having a desire to learn new things to stay busy. Nichole never limited herself to what she was capable of accomplishing, and she always had a sarcastic joke in her back pocket.

Nichole was preceded in death by her father, Ronald J. Cooley, and leaves to cherish her loving memory to her daughters, Baylee Cooley and Nikala Cooley and son, Matthew Cooley; mother, Teresa Cooley; sisters, Christine Cooley and Maria Lehman (Cooley); brother Anthony Cooley; nieces, Marissa Allen, Neveah Cooley and Alyvia Cooley; nephews, Zachary Cooley, Joshua Lehman, Cohen Lehman, Dominic Cooley and Anthony Cooley Jr.; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
