Nikia Rayone Martin

Ms. Nikia Rayone Martin entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper after a lengthy illness. Age 31 years. Nikia was born on February 21, 1986 in Saginaw, Michigan to Charley ”Billy” and Geneva Martin.

Nikia was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, and a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Burt, Michigan. She attended Saginaw Public Schools and Buena Vista High School. Nikia loved spending time with family and friends, but especially with her daughter, Zamare’.

She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Zamare’ Geneva Moton, Saginaw, Michigan; one sister, Tamara Bettis, Nashville, Tennessee; two brothers, Adrian (Erika) Bettis and Patrick Martin, Saginaw, Michigan; two nieces, Paris Martin, R’Jinaye Bettis; three nephews, Jovontae Jackson, Patrick Martin and Aspen Bettis; three aunts, Mable Martin, Diane (John) McMillon, Hazel (Arthur) Richardson (Nikia’s godparents), all of Saginaw, Michigan; one great-aunt, Elsie Sam, Indianapolis, Indiana; two uncles, Charles Blakney, Cleveland, Ohio and Arthur "Dale" Richardson, Saginaw, Michigan; several cousins; special cousin, Stacey McMillon-Mugute; many other relatives and friends; special friend, Eugene Moton.

Nikia was preceded in death by her parents, Charley and Geneva Martin; grandparents, Johnny and Helen Williams, David and Maybelle Martin; thirteen aunts and uncles.
