Nina Everett-Clay

November 16, 1950 — June 19, 2013

And God said, Let us make man (woman). So He knelt down and in His creative and powerful hand scooped up the clay of the earth and began to shape it and mold it. He breathed into the breath of life and on November 16, 1950 Nina Jane Everett was born to Mr. and Mrs. Tellis Everett of Saginaw, Michigan. And God said, thats good.
Raised in the city of Saginaw, Nina attended Saginaw Public Schools and later attended Delta College. Nina was a drum major who marched to the beat of her own drum, a strong young lady who loved people, children and life. She married Mr. Marshall Kellum and from that union they had a rambunctious baby boy named Marshall Kellum Jr., both preceded her in death. Later she married Mr. Fred Clay and together they had a very beautiful, loving daughter named Aaricka Clay.
Nina gave her life to Christ at a young age and attended Christ Community Church of Saginaw, Michigan and later became a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church where she especially loved Sunday School. Nina was a strong student of the word of God. She lived the scripture where Jesus speaking to His disciples made a statement, If you love me, feed my sheep. Nina would give her very best and her last. Everyone she encountered she called friend. She especially loved children.
Her precious memory will be cherished by her loving and caring daughter, Aaricka Clay; grandchildren, Ky-Asha Moten, Edwin Singleton and Kendrick Kilpatrick; four great-grandchildren, Kennedi, KhaLil, Amira and Edwin III; seven brothers and sisters, Bruce (Valoria) Mosley, Lansing, Michigan, Tellis (Joann) Everett, Shreveport, Louisiana, Terry (Linda) Everett and Carl Mosley, both of Saginaw, Michigan, Gregory (Kaye) Everett, Toledo, Ohio, Kathleen (Edgar) Rainey, Canton, Michigan and the baby, Elizabeth Richmond, Saginaw, Michigan; twenty-three nieces and nephews; thirty-five great nieces and nephews; a very special aunt, Mrs., Ellen Kindred; many other relatives friends and godchildren including her special friends, Nina Faye, Kat and cousin Mary Everett.
She was preceded in death by her son, Marshall Kellum Jr., parents, Tellis and Lucretia Everett, maternal grandparents, George and Nina Williams, paternal Grandparents, George and Zappora Everett and partner in crime and favorite cousin, Thomas Hall.
