Mrs. Norma Jean Chapman passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Covenant Healthcare- Harrison. Age 73. Norma Jean Todd was born August 2, 1936 in Stephens, Arkansas to Jessie and Johnny Todd.
Norma was employed at Eaton Manufacturing retiring in 1991. She was a member of Freedom Full Gospel Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory five daughters and one son, Barbara Trouse, Patricia Thomas, Jessie Chapman, David Chapman all of Saginaw, MI, Cynthia Glass, Grand Rapids, MI, Denise Chapman, Austin, TX; twenty-four grandchildren, Lashon McCormick, Jacqualine Trouse, Dorian Bady, ONeal Chapman Jr., Arnitha Chapman, Arkelia Chapman-Williams, Jimmie Dee Chapman, Oneka Chapman, Keith Chapman, Lashanda Noel, Toccarro Edwards, Alicia Chapman, Darrell Chapman, Latrice Chapman, Robert Thomas Jr., Madeline Bowens, Curtis Gloss, Shalice Cook, Bianca Chapman, Jaynae Green, Jaquita Smith, David Griffin, David (Tookie) Chapman III, Cheriah (NuNu) Slaughter; a sister, Etta Todd; a brother, Gary Todd; aunts, Parnell McKamie, Eartha McKamie; uncle, Henry Chapman; sister-in-law, Lucille Shelby; cousins, Bennie (Shirley) Cooper, Johnny (Mae) Hamilton, Johnnie Hamilton (Lump), Jerry (Carolyn) Cooper, many other relatives and friends including special friends, Vivian Tarkington, Sue Harris, Frankie Casel, Reetee Hayes, Mary Kirby and David Creske.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Covenant Harrison 6th floor ICU and to Dr. Karu.
Mrs. Chapman was preceded in death by her husband ONeal Chapman Sr.; parents, Johnny and Jessie Todd; son, ONeal Chapman Jr.; daughter, Deborah Edwards; sister Carrie Curtis.
