Norman Stovall

October 15, 1950 — October 5, 2009

Mr. Norman Eugene Stovall of Saginaw, MI was born October 15, 1950 in Sandusky, OH. The son of Franklin and Betty Jo (Johnson) Stovall.
Norman was a resident of Flint, MI from 1965 until he relocated to Saginaw, MI to follow the love of his life Lois Williams. Norman graduated in 1969 from Flint Northern High School. He was honorably Discharged from the U.S. Army, fighting in the Vietnam War from 1970-72 returning home a war hero earning a Bronze Star for bravery. He was a proud member of the 101st Airborne Division while he served his country in Vietnam. Norman was employed with General Motors for 25 years and retired in 1995 from the Flint V-8 engine plant and was a active member of Local 659. He was a member of the Baptist Church all of his life and a faithful member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Norman was proud of the fact that he was featured in the movie Roger and Me.
Norman leaves to cherish sweet memories his loving and deeply devoted wife of nine years: Lois Stovall; two daughters: Vicky (Anthony) Jackson of Grand Rapids, MI and Delicia (Roy) Sims Jr. of Saginaw, MI; three sons: Nigel E. Stovall of Flint, MI, Ronald Lawrence of Baltimore, MD and Jermaine Williams of Saginaw, MI; father and step-mother: Franklin and Betty Stovall of Flint, MI; three sisters: Barbara A. Stovall and Wanda L. Baker both of Flint, MI and Marilyn D. Cohen of Columbus, OH; two brothers: Bradley L. Stovall of Flint, MI and Simon Cohen Jr. of Columbus, OH; nine grandchildren including special granddaughter: Destiny Bump Williams; nine sisters-in-law; eight brothers-in-law; two uncles and one aunt; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his birth mother, step-mother that raised him: Mildred Stovall; brother: Gaylord Stovall; mother-in-law: Ruby Cain; brothers-in-law: Stanley Davis and Joseph Cain and dear friend: Uncle Bubba.
