Mr. Norris Thomas Lewis
Our beloved father, brother and uncle went home to be with the Lord on Monday May 14, 2012 at McLaren Hospital Flint, Michigan at the age of 65. Norris T. was born November 22, 1946 in Hayti, Missouri, son of the late Richard Sr. and Leenora Lewis.
Norris was formerly employed by Saginaw Steering Gear and a member of local 699. He was a member of Developing Victorious Disciples in Ministry, under the leadership of his cousin and Pastor. He believed in paying his tithes and offerings faithfully. He enjoyed cooking and loved to fish. He had a passion for restoring muscle cars and farming. He loved country rides and the great outdoors and he "always" put family first. He loved family gatherings, cookouts and the 14th street Block Party.
He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Anthony Ware; two sisters, Betty (George) Harris and Shirley Demery; two brothers, Troy Lewis, Earl Burns; one sister-in-law, Joyce Lewis all of Saginaw, Michigan; a host of nephews and nieces, many other relatives and dear friends. A special thanks to the entire DVD in Ministry, Refreshing Life Ministry, McLaren Hospital Emergency Room Team, a God sent Bishop, Bernadel Jefferson and her Husband.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Sr. and Leenora Lewis; three brothers, Robert Folkes, Roy Lewis and Richard Lewis Jr.
