Odessa Eaton

Odessa Eaton passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at New Hope Valley Assisted Living. Odessa was 99 years old, born November 25, 1921 in Greenville, Mississippi.

Odessa was a member of True Vine Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was the caretaker for several family members. She loved to cook for her church and make holiday dinners for her family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memory her nieces, Shirley Jones, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Rochelle Brewer, Sarah Eaton, Debra Eaton (John) Lively, all of Saginaw, Michigan; nephew, Jessie Eaton, Minneapolis, Minnesota; great-nieces, Candice Wiggins, Charlotte, North Carolina, Trisa Brewer, Stephanie Eaton, Johnnae Lively, all of Saginaw, Michigan; one extra special great-niece, Artrielle Eaton (Curtis) Barry, that she helped raise, Saginaw, Michigan; great-nephew, Poindexter Wiggins, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; great-great nieces, Ariaha Douglas, Saginaw, Michigan, Arielle Wiggins, Alexa Carr and Bella Carr, all of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; great-great-nephews, Andresis and Joshua Douglas, King Lively, all of Saginaw Michigan, Alex Wiggins, Charlotte, North Carolina, Victor Carr Jr., Milwaukee, Wisconsin; sister-in-law, Emma Eaton, Saginaw, Michigan; two best friends for over fifty years, Rohdan Ray and Cora Lewis.

The family would like to express special thanks to Cora Lewis and Tammy Paquette, who put their lives on hold to help care for our Aunt unconditionally and for trying to keep her at home the last days of her life. You are greatly appreciated. May God Bless both of you. Thanks to New Hope Valley Assisted Living, Compassus, Cass, Michigan, Hospice and especially Ivan E. Phillips, whom she adored and the Staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.

Odessa was predeceased by all her immediate family.
