Odie Lee Banks Odice passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 80 years. He was born September 13, 1932 in Truman, Arkansas to Dolphus and Ella McDonald Banks.
He married Sarahree Gaines in 1960. Together they enjoyed 52 years of wedded bliss. Odie was a truck driver and was employed by Shivley Brothers and Mullihan Tool and Dye Shop. He became self-employed early in life. He enjoyed going to horse races, listening to music and restoring old cars. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Odie leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sarahree Banks; his children, Johnny Q. Banks, Jannie Banks-Cotton, Craig (Sheryl) Banks, Chris (Jennifer) Banks, Pamela Banks, Henley (Dave) Hooper, Felix Lee Banks, Sharie (Michael) Thomas; grandchildren, Chenille, Lakisha, April, Adria, Sarahree, Brooklyn, Chris, Perry, Frederick, Thomas, Amber, Paris, Heather, Meredith, Ryan and Jordan; fifteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Moline McKetheen, Mary Taggert; two brothers, Willie (Pearl) Banks, Joe T. Banks; three sister-in-law, Autherine Banks , Annie Banks, Cecil Banks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ella and Dolphus Banks, grand-daughter, Kashawndra Banks, six brothers, two sisters, mother and father-in-law, Vive Sr. and Earl Marie Gaines.
