Oliver Bruce Moorer, Jr.

Mr. Oliver Bruce Moorer, Jr. was born June 18, 1963 in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of Oliver Bruce Moorer, Sr. and Marguerite Williams. God called his name to be with Him on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at the age of 57 years.

Oliver went by his middle name, Bruce, but also was known as Brother among close family and friends. He attended Saginaw Public Schools. Well known to the neighbors on the south side of Saginaw, he was close to the Cannon, Ford, McGee, Nettles, Frierson and Jones families.

Bruce was a fierce defender to those he cared about and he had a heart to help those around him. He enjoyed watching TV, sports, spending time with close and lifelong friends and being a comedian.

Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Oliver Bruce Moorer, Sr.; grandparents, Louis and Anna Pettiford; uncle, James Moorer. He was followed in death by his uncle, Joseph Wells.

He leaves to celebrate his life three children, Nakeya Pratt, Oliver Bruce Moorer-Pratt III, Brandon Pratt; grandchildren, Desiree, Brandi, Oliver IV, Alaijah, Brandon Jr., Brayara, Braylen, Jayden, Brayon and Brayona Pratt; a special Goddaughter, Taquaviana Sims; mother, Marguerite Williams; stepmother, Rubie Moorer; stepfather, David Williams, Sr.; siblings, Celestia (Charles) Brown, Lisa (Marco) Reed, Richelle Moorer, Rachel (Rondell) Sherman, Victor Moorer, David Jr. (Cathy) Williams; nieces, De’Von (Vernell), Damaris, Danisha, Bria, Jasmine, Jahlisa, Chloe, Erynn; nephews, Darryl Jr., Abijah, Julius, Darrick Jr., Ryan, Rhys, Victor Jr.; aunts, Lolita Fortson, Colita Lane, Wandra Wells; uncle, Daniel Fortson; great-aunts, Orvetta (Wilbur) Watts, Mildred Burton; mother of his children, Tracy (Michael) Johnson; special friend and caregiver, Roderick McGee; many great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other loved ones and friends, including special friends Eugene Smith, Eugene Jones, Gaffney Hillard, Sharon (Calvin) McReynolds, Patty Teague and countless lifelong and recent friends.
