Opal Louise (Sammons) Campbell passed away Sunday, December 4, 2011 at her residence. Age 56 years.She was born May 15, 1955 in Longview, Texas to Beulas and Beulah Sammons.
She loved music, dancing, old movies and having fun with her family.Opal was a God fearing woman. In everything she did in this life God was in it.
She leaves to cherish her memory three loving daughters, Tameka (Clarence) Young, Nikeba (Darris) Woods, Tasha (Andre) Beverly; 8 grandchildren, Denise Sammons, Keneka Moore, Curtis Sammons, Tyrell Young, Tyshea Calhoun, Cherriss Young, Jawaun Calhoun, including a special grandchild who she raised, Darnell Barefield; one great grandchildren; six sisters, Nancy Powell, Janie Davis, Tammie (Ronald) Ezell, Carylon Sammons, Besty Sammons; three brothers, Leon Sammons, Beulas Sammons Jr., including a special brother, Phillip Sammons; 16 nieces, 18 nephews, 4 aunts; 6 uncles, many other relatives and friends, including a special cousin, Effie Conway.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Beulah (Sammons) Lewis, grandmother, Nancy Brown, grandfather, Phil Sibley, aunts, Effie Wilson, Dorothy Conway, sister, Denise Sammons, brother, Lee Sammons, nieces, Tinisha and Tiaria Sammons, nephew, Terrance Sammons, cousin, David Conway, great- granddaughter, Joel' Barefield.
