Pastor Jacquelane Mcdaniel (Lansing)

Mr. Jacquelane Renotre’ McDaniel “Bobby” departed this earth peacefully on Sunday, April 10, 2022. Born in West Point, Mississippi, on February 4, 1950, to the late James and Overta McDaniel. He confessed his life to Christ at an early age, realizing he had a calling in life.

Soon after graduating at the top of his class from Cass Tech in 1968, he attended Michigan State University, pledging to Kappa Alpha PSI. Jacque furthered his education by receiving his PHD in Theology from Liberty University. He was the true definition of a scholar. He was an avid reader and a huge history buff. Jacque was also able to read Greek.

Jacque’s hobbies were watching Star Trek and Westerns. He loved watching superhero movies. Superman was his favorite hero of them all. When his great nephews came to town, he took them to see Ant Man at the movies.

Jacque loved social gatherings. He never treated anyone like a stranger. He would always greet anyone that he meets with “Praise the Lord!” and if asked how he was doing he would say, “Exquisite”.

Jacque always had a large appetite and loved to eat. He would take his time savoring his meals and always made sure his plate was empty. His favorite foods were lima beans, chicken, and banana pudding, just to name a few.

Jacquelane is survived by his son Brandon P. (Sunshine) Lee; daughters Aisha Rehema Henderson and Jacquline Lee; grandchildren Braylon and Josiah; sisters Winnie Janet McDaniel and Debra Green; brothers Danny H. (Crystal) McDaniel, Virgil M. (Fatima) McDaniel, Terry McDaniel, Willie B. (Faye) Newcombe, Mickey Newcombe, and Rickey (Kelly) Newcombe; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Jaquelane was preceded in death by his parents, James Lee McDaniel, Overta, Essie Mae McDaniel, and Willie Morris; sister Felicia; brothers Patrick and (baby) Ricky; and stepsister, Maglin Pualateer.
