Patricia Ann Mcmillan (Lansing)

Patricia Ann McMillan was born January 20, 1971 in Detroit, MI to the union of Nathaniel McMillan and Lillie Mae Williams.

She was a student at Harding Elementary-Middle School and Redford High School, after which she enrolled at the Detroit College of Business to pursue a degree in nursing. Patricia loved nursing school and had a loving spirit for the ill. She soon realized that she wanted to expand her reach beyond the borders of Detroit, and left nursing—to join the U.S. Navy—in hopes of continuing her nursing career.

Patricia had a passion for a number of things. Her favorites were collecting gospel albums, movies, shoes, and reading romance novels. She also enjoyed traveling, hanging with her best friend, LaDonn Dortch, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and having
Bible study with her brothers and sisters.

Patricia may have been short in height, but she was one of the toughest kids in the family. She was fearless, very strong, and always stood up for what was fair, even if it meant being punished for it. Out of her brothers and sisters, she was the “Bold” one.

As Patricia grew older, so did her love for God. Although she worked a lot, she always made time to go to church and to introduce her love of God to everyone around her. She became a bright light for others to follow, and was a God-fearing woman til the day her Maker called her home, May 27, 2021, at the age of 50 years.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents: Lillie Mae and Nathaniel McMillan.

She is survived by her two children: Charmaine Williams and Ronald Williams; two grandsons: Cameron and Cai Madison; five siblings: Kenneth (Karen) Williams Febie McMillan, Carleta McMillan, Williemaelynn McMillan, and Carletus McMillan. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many friends.
