Patricia Ann Walker passed away Wednesday January 13, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital, Columbus, GA.
She was born June 29, 1951 in Ozark, AL to Joyce and Catherine Walker. She moved to Saginaw at an early age and was a 1969 graduate of Saginaw High School. She then attended Delta College where she studied nursing. She worked in her chosen profession at Saginaw Osteopathic Hospital, Sun Valley Nursing Home and until her health would no longer permit HealthSource Saginaw. Unable to work Pat became a volunteer at Heavenrich Elementary. Having accepted Christ at an early age she grew up at St. Paul Baptist Church and was currently a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
She was very creative and spent a lot of time shopping for and working on her little projects. Trisha loved to travel. She was on any bike, car, bus, train, boat or plane moving. She loved to walk and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. They will miss their Nanny tremendously.
She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Catherine Walker; her daughter, Kanah-Shell (Miles) Franklin and their children Torrion, Terrell, and Whitney Franklin all of Saginaw; her daughter, Shanieka-Nikki (Derrick) Echols and their daughter Madison of Phenix City, AL; one nephew, Jimmie Walker Jr. of Peoria, IL; her best friends, Edna Hamilton, Ora (Larry) McBride, and Tanya (James) Vaughn; her play sister, Delbra Foster; niece and nephews, Kinyetta, Kinante and KeAndre Foster; her aunts, Annie (James T) Nickerson, Annie Laura Locke, Alberta Walker and Jeanette Roberts of Ozark, AL, L. Maurine Redding of Hillside, NJ; first cousins, Jackie (Rita) Redding, Angela (David) Hood, Katha Nickerson, Michelle Smith, Shirley Tilman, Theo, Jo, JoAnn, and Jerome Walker; many other relatives and friends including, Mrs. Bernice Scott, Donna (Lindsay) Mitchell, Jean Evans, Delores Buckner, Marcia Lee, Bobby Shakespeare, Bancroft Street family, the members of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and the Echols and Sumbry family from Phenix City, AL.
Patricia Ann was predeceased by her father, Joyce Shane Walker; her brother, Jimmie Walker Sr.; uncles, Cullen Redding, Henry Jr., Doug, Charles and Boyd Allan Walker; her grandparents, Henry Sr. and Julia Walker and Grady and Myra Snell.
