Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, great- aunt and friend, Mrs. Patricia Jones, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, with her husband and baby sister at her side on Friday, June 21, 2019 at the age of 57. Patricia was born May 22, 1962 in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of Spencer Sr. and Shirley Green.
Patricia graduated from Buena Vista High School, “Class of 1981.” She then became a Licensed Pharmacy Technician and was employed at Covenant Out-Patient Pharmacy for twenty-four years. She married Deacon Emmitt Jones and they shared twenty-three wonderful years together.
Patricia accepted Christ at an early age. Throughout her life she never lost her zeal for God and served faithfully as a deaconess at True Vine Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Paul E. Broaddus. She was a very kindhearted, caring and loving person who always had an open door for everyone.
Patricia had a beautiful smile and she loved to cook, especially for family gatherings and holidays. Most of all she loved having her baby sister, who was also her best friend by her side every day, playing the lottery. She loved all her family and friends but had a special affection for her grandchildren. She leaves us rich in memories and her presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her dearly.
Her memory will always be cherished by her husband, Emmitt Jones; five sons, Kadeem (Ashley) Green, Lakewood, Washington, Raven Jones (Ariyana Horrison), Saginaw, Michigan, Kevin Jones, Cleveland, Ohio, Kenneth Jones, St. Pertersburg, Florida, Reggie Roman, Saginaw, Michigan; daughter, LaTrica Jones, Farmington Hills, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Kadeem Jr. and Kameron Green, Kelsey, Katelyn, Skylar and Jenessa Roman, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Ondraya Griffin, Farmington Hills, Michigan; seven siblings, Dianne Green, McCoy (Laura) Green, Fanny Marie Green-Pierson, Robert Bernard (Tammy) Green, Darliane (Spencer) Blackmon, Donna (Demaret) Bailey all of Saginaw, Michigan, Kenny Lenoir, Atlanta, Georgia; one very special niece, Tasha (Clarence) Brown, Saginaw, Michigan; three sisters-in-law, Shawn Darlene Green, Saginaw, Michigan, Mildred Ann Bailey, Philadelphia, Mississippi, Carolyn (Wyvon) Murray, Kennesaw, Georgia; five brothers-in-laws, Larry (Ann) Jones, Roosevelt Jones, both of Saginaw, Michigan, Gillis (Arteemeese) Jones, Buffalo, New York, Milton Jones, Kennesaw, Georgia, Lester (Roberta) Jones, Oxon Hill, Maryland; one dear uncle, Robert Hayes, Saginaw, Michigan; aunts, Dr. Gean O. Smith, Saginaw, Michigan, Abbey Lee, Detroit, Michigan; great-aunt, Beatrice Rockett, Buffalo, New York; many nieces, nephews, great- nieces, great-nephews, godchildren, cousins, other relatives and friends, including special friends, Mr. & Mrs. Hall, Addie Ford, Mary Campbell, Tina Campbell, Micki Morrisette and all of her Buena Vista neighbors and families.
Those awaiting her arrival in Heaven are her parents, Spencer Sr. and Shirley Green; brothers, Spencer Green Jr. and Rev. James Hester; father and mother-in-law; many aunts and uncles.
