Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Paul Douglas Grisham passed away comfortably at home on Thursday, August 22, 2013. Age 59 years. He was born June 28, 1954 in Birmingham, Alabama, the son of James Earl Grisham and Essie Mae Grisham England.
Mr. Grisham accepted Christ at an early age. He was a member of Word of Faith International Ministries under the leadership of Dr. Byron C. Hayes. Paul was employed at Jayden Transitional Housing LL. He was a member of the National Action Network Saginaw Chapter. He was educated in the Birmingham, Alabama and Flint, Michigan public school systems. Paul loved spending time with his family and friends, gardening, reading the Bible and memorizing scriptures.
His memory will be cherished by his children, Robert Bob Johnson, Paul (Rachel) Grisham, Jr., Keythey Grisham, Kaylup (Sparkle) Grisham, Mancini Grisham and Coressey Grisham, all of Saginaw, Michigan; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; his brothers, Terry Grisham, of Boston, Mass, Jessie England of Saginaw, Michigan, Douglas and Morris Perkins, both of Dallas, Texas; five sisters, Annie (Michael) Fields, Barbara Harris, Phyllis England, Conzetta England, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Wytina Walker, Lilburn, Georgia; many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Elighia Wright; parents, James and Essie Mae Grisham.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Debra Gipson, Gwendolyn Bradshaw, Trustee Alvin and Evangelist Ernestine Rimmer, Evangelist Carolyn Davis, Dr. D. Pruitt, Dr. Liu, Dr. Ansance, Covenant Healthcare 7th floor nurses and ICU.
