Peggy Jackson

September 18, 1956 — March 16, 2015

Ms. Peggy Jackson peacefully made her transition to eternal rest on Monday, March 16, 2015 at the age of 58 years. She was born September 18, 1956 in Memphis, Tennessee to Mozell Addison and Rufus Carter.
Peggy received her high school diploma through Adult Education High School. She went on to further her education by attending Delta College. Peggy was a member of Daniels Den Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Taurus Simpson. In her spare time she enjoyed doing art work and playing cards. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She was very proud to be their grandmother. Her presence will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Calvin Jackson, Larry Jackson and Charles Riley Jr.; eleven grandchildren, Calvin Jr., JaTayvia, Veronica, Kalesha, Naomi, Ricky, Quintavion, Ayannah, Aniela, Jacob and Jayla; one great-grandchild, Calina; mother, Mozell Addison; one sister, Rosie (Robert) Cortez of Manteca, California; three brothers, Robert Carter of Memphis, Tennessee, Jesse Addison and John (Malinda) Addison both of Saginaw, Michigan; one god-sister and two god-brothers, Sonja, Arthur and Lewis Campbell all of Saginaw, Michigan; four nieces, Jonterria, Javona, Laylah and Alexandria; eight nephews, Lamar, Lorenzo, John, Javon, Jesse III, Jaytarreon, John Jr. and Javon Jr.; many other relatives and friends.
Peggy was preceded in death by her father, Rufus Carter, stepfather, Jesse Addison and two sisters, Naomi and Yolanda Carter.
The family wishes to express special thanks to everyone who offered kind words, condolences and prayers.
