Pervis Carter, Sr.

Mr. Pervis Carter, Sr. passed away Monday, November 26, 2018 at Covenant Cooper Healthcare in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 90 years.

Pervis was born September 18, 1928 in Louisville, Mississippi to Eunice and Artie Carter. He was a Deacon at Emmanuel Church of Deliverance and served faithfully until his health started to fail him. He worked as a foster grandparent for Buena Vista Public Schools for many years. He was passionate about cars, in particular, antiques. He loved antique cars and working on them.

Pervis was a godly man and a family man. He loved the Lord and set an example for his family to follow. He was a loving father, protective brother, and doting grandfather. His presence among his family will be missed and forever cherished.

Pervis was preceded in death by his parents, Eunice and Artie Carter; daughter, Renee Collier; sisters, Lillie Mae Woods, Hargie Culberson; brother, Edward Carter.

He leaves to cherish his memory son, Pervis Carter, Jr.; sisters, LueWillie Harden, Louisville, Mississippi, Pastor Faye Carter, Saginaw, Michigan; brother, Pastor Provis (Fannie) Carter; grandchildren, Tony, Deric, Reggie, Angela; three great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
