Pete Mireles Iii (Lansing)

Pete Mireles III was called home to our Lord and Savior on April 24, 2023, at the age of 81. Born on August 4, 1941, in Seguin, Texas. Pete was the eldest of fifteen children born to Evangelina and Pete Mireles II.

In his younger years, Pete enjoyed bowling in the Latin American League and he also enjoyed playing softball in the Latin American League. Most of all, Pete truly enjoyed being surrounded by family, especially his grandchildren. Pete also loved to go fishing and when his children were younger, he taught them how to fish. Pete would take his kids fishing every chance he could. He knew the best fishing spots, even if it was a long hike, the kids followed behind. Pete would also go out of his way to assist people who needed help, be it working on their cars or giving a ride to someone in need. He will be truly missed by all who loved him, especially his wife Joyce.

Pete is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Mireles; children, Pete IV (Gigi) Mireles, Gina (Alfonso) Salas, Rick Mireles (Maryanne), Michael (Misty) Mireles, and Angelina (Monte) Johnson; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Pete was preceded in death by his grandson, Pete James Mireles V.

A memorial will be held for Pete with family on Saturday, May 13, 2023.
