Peter M. Langenfeld (Grand Ledge)

Mr. Peter Matthew Langenfeld passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023, at McLaren Greater Lansing in Lansing, Michigan. Age 54 years. He was born in on June 8, 1968, the son of Cecil and Delilah Langenfeld in Lansing, Michigan.

Pete lived in Grand Ledge, Michigan. He went to Holt High School where he met his wife, Tracee. He graduated from Holt HS in 1986 and got married in 1993. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University. During his career he worked for the State of Michigan Department of Corrections, Michigan State Police and was a Deputy Director at State of Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget. He was funny and loved making people laugh. Peter loved spending time with his kids, especially the times he spent coaching his sons’ baseball teams and watching his daughter play soccer. He loved playing golf, making baseball bats, cooking and spending quality time with his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Tracee (Davis) Langenfeld of Grand Ledge, Michigan; children, daughters, Zoe; 2 sons, Nathan and Griffin; mother, Delilah Langenfeld; 4 sisters, Sharon (Tim) Karr, Susan Skromme, Mary (Bruce) Ware, and Celia (Lew) Taylor; 5 nieces, Heather Boyce, McKenna Inman, Sophie Taylor, Hannah Spitzley, and Lily Ware; 8 nephews, Tim Karr, Chase Taylor, Hogan Taylor, Colin Skromme, Nick Ware, Ethan Chenault, Lucas Chenault, and Caleb Chenault; Mother and father-in-laws, Richard (Terri) Davis, Susie (Ken) Tormala; sister-in-law, Michelle (Jeff) Chenault; many cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his father, Cecil Langenfeld; brothers-in-law, Wayne Skromme and Jim Deloach.
