The Lord called our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather and uncle, Ramon Perez Jr., home on December 7, 2014 at Covenant Healthcare - Harrison. Age 90 years.
Ramon was born June 16, 1924 to the late Ramon Perez and Modesta (Martinez) Perez. He was married to Beatrice G. Garcia who predeceased him on July 2, 1998.
Ramon enjoyed dancing, gardening and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He served in the United States Army from 1943 until 1945 and was decorated with three Bronze Star awards, the Good Conduct Medal and other citations. Ramon came to Saginaw in 1946 and began employment at the Grey Iron Foundry. He retired from Saginaw Malleable Iron in 1975 and returned to Texas.
Mr. Perez leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Margaret M. Lopez, Norma (Jesse) Villarreal, Linda Gardner and Ramon (Leticia) Perez Jr.; eleven grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; fifteen great-great-grandchildren and four sisters; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Ramon was predeceased by his wife, Beatrice G. Perez, parents, Ramon Perez and Modesta (Martinez) Perez, four brothers and two sisters.
In accordance with Ramons wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at a later date in Encinal, Texas.
