Randolph "Randy" Danner, 72, of Bridgeport, Michigan passed away at 11:50 PM on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Covenant Cooper Hospital. He was born March 15, 1947 in Milan, Tennessee to Ernest and Geneva Danner.
Randy graduated from high school at Polk Clark Schools, earned a Bachelor of Arts from Bethel College, and a Master of Arts and Science from Andrews University and Indiana University. He received Jesus Christ at an early age at Morris Chapel in Tennessee and was a member of New Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
Randy served in the Bridgeport Public School system and retired as Assistant Superintendent of Bridgeport Public Schools. He was also Principal of Bridgeport Public High School and an Assistant Principal at Niles Community Schools in Niles, Michigan.
Randy was compassionate, kind, loving, hard-working and honest. He held a high integrity and was known for his great sense of humor and wisdom. He was a man of deep faith and an even deeper love for God. Most importantly he was a family man who was devoted to his wife and a positive role model for his son. Randy was a football coach, DJ, avid bowler and golfer, sang in the choir at church and loved different genres of music. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents, father and four brothers.
He is survived by his loving wife, Margree Danner; mother, Geneva Danner; son, Sidney Danner; granddaughter, Micayla Hughes; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
