Raul Gonzales (Lansing)

Mr. Raul Gonzales passed away Friday, May 5, 2023, in Lansing, Michigan. Age 63 years. Born September 4, 1959, to parents, Ramon and Augustina Gonzales, in St. Johns, Michigan.

Raul lived in Lansing, Michigan for most of his life and graduated from Eastern High School in 1979. He held many jobs, but he proudly worked for General Motors in the janitorial department.

Raul was a die-hard Michigan Wolverine fan. He enjoyed going to the casino, working in the yard; with his green thumb he could make anything grow. Raul loved to dance while listening to rock ‘n’ roll and Tejano music. He was always the life of the party and could be depended on to lend a hand whenever needed.

Raul loved spending time with his grandchildren most of all. His heart of gold will be missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his girlfriend, Christina Gonzales of Lansing, Michigan; stepchildren, Raquel Jackson, Mary Jaye Pena and Lolita Gonzales; grandchildren, Aaliyah Jackson, Maiyah Jackson, Kellan Jackson, Christina Gonzales, Kaylee Gonzales, Erianna Pena, Janessa Navarro, and Antonio Navarro, all of Lansing, Michigan; sisters, Rose DeLaPaz, Lucia Zamora, Ernestina Lamb, Linda Gonzales, and Rafela Trevino; brothers, Julian Gonzales, Ramon Gonzales, Arturo Gonzales, Oscar Gonzales, Gilbert Gonzales, Tony Gonzales, Joe Pete Gonzales, and David Gonzales; many nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends, including special friend, Kevin Townsend.

Raul was preceded in death by his parents, Ramon and Augustina Gonzales; and two sisters, Maria Trevino and Graciela Gonzales.
