Rawleigh E. Madlock, age 64 years, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022, in Saginaw, Michigan. He was born August 8, 1957 in Saginaw, Michigan, to Leroy and Rachel Madlock.
Rawleigh was introduced to the love of his life, Dietra, whom he had great admiration for in 1989. They were introduced by Marlene Strong. When Rawleigh met Dietra, he knew right away that she was the “real deal” for him. They dated for one month before Rawleigh asked Dietra to marry him. They were married six months later; they were married 32-1/2 years.
Rawleigh attended Saginaw Public Schools until the age of 16 when he was offered a job at General Motors where he worked for 22 years. During his time working for GM, Rawleigh went back to school and obtained his GED, graduating at the top of his class from Ruben Daniels Lifelong Learning Center.
In his spare time, his passion was on the pool table where he showed up with his unstoppable game. Rawleigh won numerous awards, too many to count, often going to Vegas for many tournaments. He also developed a love for cooking, mastering his skills as a chef with omelets as a big as a skillet, and he was a master griller. Rawleigh was often asked to prepare enchiladas and greens for his loved ones and friends. He loved to see people enjoy his food. Rawleigh had a love for people, and he loved to entertain and welcome anyone to his home; he would wait on you hand and foot. Rawleigh also loved traveling with his best friend, Herbert Williams, singing in the choirs for Benny Hinn and Rod Parsley, but one of his most favorite things to do was to serenade his wife with the Temptations and Teddy Pendergrass love ballads. He was quite a singer.
