Raymond Dorty (Lansing)

Mr. Raymond Dorty passed away December 2, 2021, in Lansing, Michigan. Age 82 years. He was born March 21, 1939, in Jefferson, Texas, to parents George and Velma Dorty.

Raymond grew up in Lansing, Michigan, attending Lansing Eastern High School. Later he worked for General Motors for over 30 years.

As a young man, Raymond was a Golden Glove Boxer. He enjoyed working on cars and loved to play golf.

Raymond leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Robert Dorty; sons, Joseph Dorty and Shawn Dorty; nieces Phyllis Dorty, Barbara Runyon, and Regina Dorty; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Velma Johnson-Dorty; father, George Dorty; sister, Beverly Howlett; and brother, Albert Dorty.
