Reatha Lockhart

Reatha Ann Lockhart made her transition to be with the Lord on Friday, November 14, 2014. Age 69 years. Reatha Ann was born November 15, 1944 in Dansville, Illinois to Lawrence and Mary Ice.
She was a 1962 graduate of Bloomington High School in Bloomington, Indiana. She continued her education, receiving a Bachelors Degree in Special Education from Western Michigan University and a Masters Degree in Education Administration from Michigan State University. She was a teacher and an administrator in the Lansing School District from 1979 until her retirement in 2007.
Reatha Ann was a long-standing member of New Jerusalem Church and was always found working in the church until she became ill. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, doing crafts, teaching and enjoying her game shows and soap operas. She had a love for music and directed many musical productions. Reatha was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family.
She is survived by her four children, Kimyon Lockhart, Djoachim Lockhart, Reanique (Rod) Turner and Kye Lockhart; seven grandchildren, Samantha, Mikel, Sienna, Mariyah, Malin, Skyy, and Daedyn, two great-grandchildren, Leiliana and Jaylin; her sister, Terry Ice and brother, D. Keith (Marilyn) Ice; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
