Regina Mcclain

October 19, 1958 — September 29, 2015

On Tuesday, September 29, 2015 the angels of Heaven descended upon the earth to carry our beloved Regina Harrison Monroe McClain home to glory. Age 56 years. She was born October 19, 1958 in Saginaw, Michigan to Levi Sr. and Curley Mae Harrison.
Regina was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan. She attended Downes Elementary School, Ricker Jr. High School and Buena Vista High School. Regina was a member of New Life Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Rufus Bradley. She was previously employed with Bethel Daycare. Regina was excellent with children. She was known by her great nieces and nephews as Gin-Gin the Candy Lady. Regina loved flowers and she was a people person. She never met a person who didnt remember her smile. Her beautiful smile and wonderful presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Quantina Antrovann Monroe; two sons, Antonio Demetrius (Minga) McClain and Anthony Cebo McClain Jr.; grandchildren, Naiya Monroe, Peris Monroe, Jermaine Monroe, Jamel Williams, Jason Monroe and Aysia McClain; parents, Levi Sr. and Curley Mae Harrison; four sisters, Mary Carter (Roy Sullivan), Deborah Blanks, Vivian (Ronald) Samuel and Audrey Harrison; four brothers, Leroy Sr. (Mary) Harrison, Levi Jr. (Geneva) Harrison, Reverend Jimmie Lee Sr. (Roberta) Harrison and Edward J. (Carmen) Harrison; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including her special friends, Eileen Jackson, Mary Gilmore and Evelyn Tucker.
Regina was preceded in death by her grandmother, Beatrice Jackson, one brother, Ricky Joe Harrison, two uncles, James Harrison and Alonzo Byrd, one great-aunt, Bertha Jones.
The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Rufus and 1st Lady Bradley, New Life Baptist Church family, Roy and Dorothy Gaines.
