Reginald Lampkin

Mr. Reginald Lampkin was born May 8, 1965 in Memphis, Tennessee to Walter and Tantileer (Scott) Lampkin. Our beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at the age of 54 years.

Reginald, called “Reggie” by family and friends, was a graduate of Saginaw High School, “Class of 1984.” In 1985, he joined the United States Marine Corps and served his country proudly for four years. Reggie enjoyed cooking, spending time with family and friends, listening to music and telling jokes, always making those around him laugh. To know Reggie was to love him. He will truly be missed and will forever be in our hearts.

Reggie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Julia Lampkin, Jim and Reola Scott; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is survived by his wife of twenty years, Deborah Turner Lampkin; two sons, DeShawn Johnson, Douglasville, Georgia, Tory Turner, Saginaw, Michigan; one daughter, Candice Turner, Douglasville, Georgia; parents, Walter and Tantileer Lampkin; sisters, Tracy (James) Green, Memphis, Tennessee, Sherrill Kilgore, Lorain, Ohio; niece, Mikara Lampkin, Memphis, Tennessee; nephews, Marcus Lampkin, Christopher Harris, Lorain, Ohio; special granddaughter, Taylor Johnson, Douglasville, Georgia; special great-nephew, Chance Lampkin, Memphis, Tennessee; aunts, Joanne Resser, Jessie Todd, Memphis, Tennessee, Grace Hollowell, Palm Bay, Florida, Mabel Scott, Saginaw, Michigan, Shirley Scott, Louisville, Kentucky, Doris Scott, Frisco, Texas; uncles, Gregory (Paula) Scott, James (Paulette) Scott, Memphis Tennessee; mother-in-law, Mary Turner, Saginaw, Michigan; brother-in-law, Korrey Turner, Saginaw, Michigan; sister-in-law, Diane Turner, Saginaw, Michigan; special grandmother, Adline Helton, Saginaw, Michigan; special cousins, Shaun Scott, Floyd Scott, Jr.; special Marine brother, Kenneth McKenzie; many other relatives and friends, including his childhood friends whom he affectionately called brothers, Toney Franklin, Rico Hilburn, Juan Hilburn, Rob Hilburn, Tony Cotton, Jacob Young, Dave Antwine, LaValle Scott, Lonnie White, Leslie Davis and Kevin Thomas.
