Renisha (Nikki) Merrill

Ms. Renisha Nichole Merrill (Nikki) found eternal rest March 15, 2011. Age 35 years. She was born July 19, 1975 in Saginaw, Michigan to Dorothy and Bobby Merrill.
Renisha graduated from Buena Vista High School in 1994. She attended Bethel A.M.E Church where she served as a youth usher and girl scout, she was currently a member of the young adult choir, mass choir, YPD, and the NAACP. In February 2001 Nikki rededicated her life to Christ. She loved to bake all kinds of desserts. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed music, dancing, working crossword puzzles, freelance drawing and creating art.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, ShaKayla Lee, Saginaw, MI; DeMarius Sloan Lee, Rockford, MI; mother, Dorothy Anderson; grandmother, Mildred Burton; four sisters, Kacinea Crittenden, Sabrina Harris, Stephanie Burton, Zendre Montgomery; five brothers, Robert Merrill, Bobby Merrill Jr., Stefone Burton, Edres Montgomery, Rashad Montgomery; 32 nieces and nephews, 12 great nieces and great nephews; two aunts, Sandra J. Merrill, Hazel McMullen; four uncles, Alfred Kelly Jr., Pastor Cirven (Sandra) Merrill, Rodney Merrill, Michael (Marcia) Merrill; great aunt and uncle, Wilber and
Orvetta Watts; many other relatives and friends, including special friends, Corri Wofford and Darlene Porterfield. The family would like to express a special thanks to Covenant ER, EMS, Patsy Parks, New Christ Community Church, Ivan E.Phillips and the staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel, the Southside family and the In & Out party Store.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Merrill Sr., grandparents, Elizabeth Merrill, Cager Merrill Sr., Alfred Kelly Sr., Samuel Burton; great grandmothers, Anna Dallas, Dorthula White, four uncles; three great-uncles; two great-aunts and 12 cousins.
