Rev. Jimmie L. Harrison was born July 16, 1942 in Basset, Arkansas to Levi Sr. and Tichie Harrison. On Sunday, February 28, 2021, he heard the words, “Well done good and faithful servant. Thou hast been faithful over a few things; I will make thee ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of thy Lord.”
Jimmie, lovingly called “Bo Bo”, proudly served his country in the United States Army. After fulfilling his duty, he became employed by General Motors Malleable Iron Plant and was an active member of UAW Local 455. He was the Chairman of the Bargaining Committee for four years and a Committee Man for twelve years. An ordained minister, Jimmie served faithfully in ministry Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Roy L. Manning, Sr.
In his spare time, Rev. Harrison loved gathering with his Free Mason brothers, fishing, playing baseball, hunting, and was always ready to challenge anyone in a game of dominoes. He loved watching Western movies and John Wayne was his favorite actor.
Above all, Jimmie enjoyed the company of his family and barbecuing on the grill. When it came to entertaining the kids, he always had a good story to tell or a magic trick up his sleeve (i.e. tossing a coin high in the air and making it disappear or making a coin pass through one ear to the other). Without a doubt, his presence, wisdom, laughter and smile will truly be missed.
Rev. Harrison was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta G. Harrison; daughter, Kimberly J. Chapman; parents, Levi (Curly Mae) Harrison and Tichie Harrison; two sisters, Regina McClain, Rosabell “Betty” Adams; one brother, Ricky Joe Harrison; very dear friend, Cecil Anderson.

Harrison, Jr.; stepchildren, Aeriell Scott, Deborah (David) General, Bryan (Samantha) Scott; grandchildren, Shabrena Johnson, Omari Harrison, Deonte Maxwell, Deijah Banks, Shameca Maxwell, Jimmie L.
