Richard Creagh (Lansing)

Our beloved Richard Ray Creagh, also known as “Ray Ray” went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the young age of 78. Richard was born on May 1, 1939 in Camden, Alabama to Mary Elizabeth Creagh and William Creagh. Richard is a twin to Ruth Hester, and the youngest of 6 children.

Richard married M. Judith Riggins in 1959 in Marion, Ohio. They eventually moved to Lansing, Michigan where Richard became gainfully employed by General Motors. After 30 years with GM he retired. Richard had many hobbies and interests like painting, singing, playing the guitar and piano. His most memorable interest was that of preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Richard leaves to cherish his memory, the love of his life M. Judith Riggins, his twin sister Ruth Hester, five children, Lisa (Andrew) Creagh (Flint, Michigan), Judy (Eric) Kehler (East Lansing, Michigan), Richard Ray Creagh Jr. (Sterling Heights, MI), Denise Smith (Lansing, Michigan) and Kiel (Kelly Knight) Creagh (Lansing, Michigan); five grandchildren, Christine (Ethan) Irelan, Cameron (Bobbi) Creagh, Hunter Kehler, Mattie Creagh and Stephen (Almedina) Creagh; five great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Creagh, Victor Ray Creagh, Chloe Creagh, Maddy Creagh, Gabriel Irelan; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Richard was preceded in death by his mother Mary Elizabeth Creagh, four brothers and sisters, other family and friends who now joyfully sing and dance with him in Heaven.

Richard’s family would like to thank everyone for all of their prayers, love and encouragement during this difficult time.
