Richard Lewis

Mr. Richard Lewis Jr., our beloved father, Grand-father, Great-grandfather, brother and uncle went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday September 8th, 2010 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 66 years. Richard Lewis Jr. was born
October 6th, 1943 in Hayti, Missouri to Richard Lewis Sr., and Leenora Lewis. He was married to Lois M. Lewis, she preceded him in death in 2008.
Richard was formerly employed by GM Grey Iron Foundry and a member of Local 668, Richard, his parents and brothers enjoyed farming raising cows, chickens and hogs for many years. He was family oriented and enjoyed cooking. Among his many cooking skills, he will always be remembered for roasting hogs, Bar-B-Q, and hot tamales. His sayings were Be For Real, Keep your nose clean, Dont be a knob head and You pick your friends not your family.
Richard leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Richard (Suelia) Lewis, Jason (Shawanda) Lewis; four daughters, Audronnia (Frederick) Hawkins, LaTonya Lewis, Marlo (Andrew) Cooperwood, Samara (Jermaine) Merritt; two sisters, Betty (George) Harris, and Shirley Demery; two brothers, Norris and Troy Lewis; 16 Grandchildren, 7 Great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Joyce Lewis; many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois M. Lewis, parents, Richard Sr. and Leenora Lewis, two brothers Robert Folkes and Roy Lewis.
