Richard Mack, Sr. was born August 18, 1940 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Noah Sr. and Lena Washington Mack. A student athlete, Richard played football throughout high school. He met the love of his life, Johnnie B. Mack, and married her in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1961. He and his wife moved to Saginaw, Michigan in 1966. He began work for General Motors Corporation, where he was employed for over thirty years until his retirement. Richard was a funny man, who liked to joke and loved to talk trash. He was an avid golf player who enjoyed the beautiful greens of the golf course. More than anything, he loved his family, especially his grandkids. His strong presence was a powerful example for his many grandsons. He led by example showing that family is important and that hard work, focus and integrity will take you far in life. Richard was a valiant man that never cowered when faced with a battle. On Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the age of 77 years, he finished his last battle. Richard fought the good fight. He finished his race. He kept the faith. And now there is in store for him the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to him on that day—and not only to him, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
