Rickey Mans (Lansing)

Mr. Rickey Lee Mans departed his earthly home on Sunday, September 10, 2017 in Lansing, Michigan. He was 58 years of age. Rickey was born April 4, 1959 in Lansing, Michigan to Alonzo Sr. and Blanche Mans. He was the second oldest son out of five boys.

Rickey attended Lansing School District, graduating from Everett High School in 1977. Shortly, after graduation he worked for General Motors on the production line. His final place of employment was Brody Hall at Michigan State University where he was custodian. Rickey loved to detail cars, watch MSU sports, and coach a family basketball team called M & M Spurs.

He leaves to cherish his memory his spouse, Viola Mans; one daughter, Aaliyah Pugh; 3 step-children, Maurice Johnson, Clarence Halliburton, Latasha Halliburton; fifthteen grandchildren, Kyla Campbell, Karon Mans, Kiante Mans, Averill Pugh, DaVarie, Andreaya, Aeriel, Raven, Ondreius, Jaleyah, Malena, David, Aryana, Jaylen, Jei’Ceon; three brothers, Alonzo (Rose) Mans, Jr., Bruce (Linda) Mans, Sr., Kenneth (Tammy) Mans, Sr.; one sister-in-law, Rosetta (John) Bryant; four brother-in-laws, MC (Mattie) Johnson, Floyd Johnson, Elton (Barbara) Johnson, Kent Johnson, and many other relatives and friends.

Rickey was preceded in death by his son, Averill Mans, parents, and brother, Dwayne Mans.
