Rickey O'Neal Napier

Mr. Rickey O’Neal Napier passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020 in Jacksonville, Florida at the age of 53 years. He was born December 29, 1966 in Saginaw, Michigan to Albert and Gloria (Thorne) Napier.

Rickey attended St. Mary’s Cathedral, Saginaw Public Schools, and graduated from Lima Senior High School in Lima, Ohio. He enjoyed cooking, spending time with family and friends, listening to music and dancing. Although his physical presence will be missed, his spirit will live on in the love and laughter he left behind.

Rickey was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, maternal grandfathers, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Rickey was married to his wife Malinda Napier for twenty-six years. She survives him, along with his children, Devon Shine, Lima Ohio, Derrick, Dylan, Ja'Nay Napier, all of Joliet, Illinois, Rickia Napier, Benton Harbor, Michigan; two stepsons, Donte Green, Seattle, Washington, Mark Wysinger, Benton Harbor, Michigan; grandchildren, Ayriana Shine, Jadon, Amaree, Azariah, Dylan Jr., Khi’lan Napier, Kala Berry, Decario Green, Demarcus Wysinger; great-granddaughter, Noelle Berry; parents, Albert and Gloria Napier; his only sister whom he adored, Chantell (Darrick) Pittman, Frisco, Texas; grandmothers, Rosetta Lee and Barbara McCloud; aunts, Bobbie Skipworth, Joyce (Sam) Winters, Vonda Whitney, Leona (Dave) Jones; uncles, Elliott (Linda), Dwain, Glenn, Victor (Bonnie) Napier, William Coleman, Derek McCloud; great-aunts, Rosie Thorne, Lucille (Uleslie) Surles; mother-in-law, Ruthie Green, Benton Harbor, Michigan; brothers-in-law, Nathan, Frank, Bruce (Rohnette), Lee, Daniel (Jeanitta) Green; sisters-in-law, Barbara Dyson, Joann Green; special cousins, Victor Hadley, Mark Coleman, Duane Coleman, Gary Skipworth; godchildren, Katelynn, Jordan, Isaac; many other relatives and friends, including special friends Brian Robinson and Hugh Lester.
