Rita Ann Simmons

Ms. Rita Ann Simmons, our beloved mother, grandmother and sister went home to be with the Lord Monday, January 17, 2011. Age 57 years. She was born August 23, 1953 in Saginaw, Michigan to Edward Welch and Dorothy Lane.
Rita was known for her firm and outspoken words however, she had a loving attitude. She was well known and loved by all throughout the community and will be missed by many.
She leaves to cherish her memories three sons, Edwards Michael Welch, Bruce Simmons, Roy Simmons, her baby girl, Devonna Simmons; grandchildren, Deatria Humphrey, Tanitriana Collins, Ta-Tiyana Jackson, Cherish Nichols, Quentin Smith, Bruce
Simmons Jr., Elijah Simmons, Jamaica Simmons, JaMarrion Simmons, Jaylin Simmons, JaTory Simmons, JaVontae Simmons, Dwight McCormick, RaKeesha Simmons, Shannon Daniels; stepmother, Flora Welch; sister, Wendy Welch; brother, Stacy (Katrina) Welch; two nephews including special nephew, Joseph (Katrina) Lindsay, Frankie Lindsay; three aunts, Annie Welch-Johnson, Doris (Jim) Price, Frankie B, Minor; one god-daughter, Shalita (James) Vining; two god-sisters, Angela (George) Parks, Shelley Badgerhouse; stepsisters, Deborah Miller, Pam Goines, three step-brothers, Larry Strong, Michael Strong, Timothy Strong, James Lane; fiance, Paul Buchann; many other relatives and friends, including special friends, Laretta Wafer, Barbara Haywood, Victoria Hibler and Patricia McClain.
