Mr. Robert B. Newsom passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 93 years. He was born May 30, 1918 in Coldwater, Mississippi to Modenia and Byron Newsom.
Robert loved his daughters and cherished his grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting and gathering wild game and loved his dogs.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Larry (Jessie) Newsom, Modine (Cleve) Williamson, June (Ronald) Swift, Kenny Newsom (his heart); twenty-eight grandchildren; many great grandchildren; his significant other, Ms. Ollie; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including special friends, Ms. Eva Whitt and Ray Cowart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Modenia and Byron Newsom; son, Addel Newsom; sister, Agnes Brown and brother, Lee Grant Newsom.
