Robert Waltiga Baker passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022, in Eaton Rapids, Michigan. Age 53 years. He was born September 16, 1968, in Wayne, Michigan, to parents, Robert James Goodwin and Zinnia Baker.
In 1973, Robert moved from Detroit to Lansing, Michigan, with his mother. He attended and graduated from Everett High School. Robert then went on the receive an associate degree. He later joined the U.S. Marine Corp. Robert found a career with Canadian National Railway as a train conductor, he worked there until retirement.
Robert enjoyed spending his time with family and friends. He loved riding his motorcycle, being around cars, listening to music, and cooking.
He was a proud father to his daughters, Sabrelle and Malena, and enjoyed acting silly with them.
Robert leaves to cherish his memory daughters, Sabrelle Baker and Malena Baker; mother, Zinnia Baker; aunts, Ruth J. Baker, Cynthia (James) Baker, and Felicia (Greggory) Baker; uncles, James H. Baker, Ronald L. Baker, and Greggory D. Baker; sisters-in-laws, Fedora Love and Teresa Bailey–Sullivan; former wife, Twanda Love; and many other relatives and friends including special friends, Reese Allen, John White, “Ice” and Raymond.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Goodwin; grandparents, Ann Mae and Norman L. Baker, Sr.; aunts, Elsie Baker, Margaret Thomas, Elaine Taylor; and uncle, Norman Baker, Jr.
