Robert Brooks 'Sunnyman'

Mr. Robert Lee Brooks "Sunnyman" passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 at ResCare in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 64 years. He was born November 30, 1949 in Crenshaw, Mississippi to Ruben and Estell Brooks.
Robert was a lighthearted man with a great sense of humor. He loved to share and he was a very friendly person. He did not meet strangers, but would begin a conversation with anyone he met. He loved family gatherings with home-cooked meals. His wonderful presence will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory, three children, Renae (Darrell) Dillard-Beamon, Tracy (Frank) Austin-Hernandez and Yolonda (James) Brown-Stanley; sixteen grandchildren; six sisters, Doris A. Brooks, Mary (Charlie) Sanders, Betty J. Brooks, Beverly (Eric) Stephenson, Donna Brooks and Roseane M. Brooks; six brothers, Jimmy (Pam) Brooks of Lima, Ohio, Ruben (Charmaine) Brooks, Darnell (Sandra) Brooks of Loris, South Carolina, David, Johnny W. and James W. Brooks; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Mr. Brooks was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Estell Brooks, sister, Gloria Brooks and a son, Robert Lee Rogers.
The family would like to express special thanks to ResCare, Grace Hospice, and Mr. Ivan E. Phillips and the staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
