Mr. Robert Colvin passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018 at Covenant HealthCare-Harrison at the blessed age of 95 years. He was born on July 20, 1922 in Union Springs, Alabama to Allen and Gertrude (Jelks) Colvin.
Mr. Colvin was a longtime resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He was a member of Warren Avenue Presbyterian Church. Mr. Colvin’s employment was with General Motors (Chevrolet Grey Iron Foundry). He was a very active, faithful, and dedicated member of UAW Local 668. Robert held memberships in the Alabama Reunion Club and Buena Vista Lions Club. After coming to Saginaw, Robert played baseball with several teams, and continued to enjoy his favorite pastimes, baseball, golfing, fishing and hunting throughout the years.

Colvin, and Van Allister Colvin, Saginaw, Michigan; grandchildren, Phillip (Trina) Morris, Saginaw, Michigan, Sheba (Corey) Vines, Raleigh, North Carolina, Darryl Colvin, Jacksonville, Florida, Roy (Jennifer) Brock, San Diego, California, Jamar Brock, Jacksonville, Florida, Chad, Alyssa and Jennifer Colvin, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Anthony Colvin, Desira (Melvin) Benbow, Tracy (Roderick) Thompkins and Keshia Colvin; one sister, Bettie Colvin, East Elmhurst, New York; one brother, Alonza J. (Charlene) Colvin, Saginaw, Michigan; seven nieces, Bennie D. King, Birmingham, Alabama, Judy Webb, Saginaw, Michigan, Elizabeth Buckley, Romulus, Michigan, Sharon Pierrie-Scott, Atlanta, Georgia, Kim Cooper, St. Louis, Missouri, Beverly Lane, Farmington Hills, Michigan, and Paulette Colvin, Atlanta, Georgia; eight nephews, Willie J. Allen, Saginaw, Michigan, Gordon Pierrie, Detroit, Michigan, Harold Pierrie, St. Louis, Missouri, Mark Colvin, Virginia, Tony Colvin, Atlanta, Georgia, Jimmie Colvin, China, James Calvin, Maryland, Michael Pierrie, Denver, Colorado; many cousins; two sisters-in-law, Mary Burns, Detroit, Michigan, Josephine Haynes, Saginaw, Michigan; one special nephew, Willie J. Mr. Colvin was preceded in death by his daughter, Felecia Michelle Colvin; his parents, four brothers and three sisters.
