Robert Diggs

July 12, 1942 — October 28, 2011

Our dearly beloved husband, father, grand-father, brother and uncle Robert Diggs Jr. passed away after a lengthy illness with his family at his side on October 28, 2011. Robert was born on July 12, 1942 in Tallulah, Louisiana to the late Robert Diggs Sr. and Luvenia Lee.
Robert moved to Michigan as a young man, where he married the love of his life, Rosie M. Brandon on Sept 14, 1964. He retired from the Grey Iron Foundry after 37 years of service and was a member of the local UAW 668. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren whom he truly loved; he also enjoyed fishing and watching his favorite TV shows, sports and listening to his music. Robert lived his life to the fullest without any regrets. He was a very generous person with a great sense of humor and loved to share with his family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted wife, Rosie M. Diggs and from their union, they had four children, Christopher and Anthony Diggs, twin daughters, Stacy Diggs and Tracy (Mark) Coleman, also leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Andrew Foster and Kenneth Coleman, one daughter, Chermese Smith; his step-mothers, Rosie L. Diggs and Georgia Diggs; four brothers, Ezell (Emma) Diggs, Jeff and Luther Harrison Jr. and Michael Spivey; nine sisters, Sally Mae Diggs, Marie McCullen, Lovera(Peaches) Woods, Beverly Diggs, Connie(Marvel) Harvey, Mable(Lester) Donald, Luvenia (Albert) Littles, Carolyn (Sammie) Jones and Michelle Lee; two step-sisters, Verta(Lynn) Green and Sherry Williams; one step-brother, Marc Johnson; twenty-two grand-children and five great-grandchildren, including four special grandchildren ,Jomar and Jovante Barnes, Cameron and Charquise Diggs; a special aunt, Nancy Woods; a special nephew, Thomas Davis and special cousin, Otis (Zola) Butterfield; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and his special friends he called The Fellas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Verdia Nickson -Price, Annie McGee, Diane Harrison and brothers, Roy Harrison, James, Leroy and Larry Diggs; one grandson Christopher Diggs Jr. and one grand-daughter, Tyece Diggs.
The family wishes to give a special thanks to all relatives and friends for your acts of kindness during our time of bereavement.
