Robert H Abernathy

Mr. Robert H. Abernathy Jr. passed away Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Luther Manor Nursing Home. Age 69 years. He was born March 30, 1943 in Fort Benning, Georgia to Robert H. Abernathy Sr. and Jessierene Cross-Abernathy Sears.
Robert was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He was formerly employed at Monitor Sugar Company for many years. Robert was a faithful member of Bethesda Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Gregory Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his fianc, Rozelia Catholic; two daughters, Angella Sears and Jessica Slavik; grandchildren, Jaquiese Grey, Shayla Slavik, Julius Slavik, Jelliese and Jella Santos; great-grandchild, Jaell Traylor; two sisters, Hazel Abernathy Cook, Jackie Watkins; three brothers, Willie, Larry and Jerry Abernathy; one stepbrother, David Grey; one stepsister, Earline Joseph; nieces, Natalie, Faye, Twiyla, Marquita Crudup; nephews, Danell, Derrick and Shannon Cook, Greg, Larry and Martin Abernathy, Robert and Freddie Watkins, Jerry Crudup; a special cousin, Leslie Bowens Sr.; three sisters-in-law, Betty and Patricia Abernathy, Barb Crudup; many other relatives and friends including special friends Julian C. William and Leeander Nixon.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Jessierene Abernathy, stepfather, Watson Sears.
