Robert Richardson

A devoted father, grandfather, brother and uncle, Robert Jay Richardson was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 10, 2014. He was born November 20, 1956 in Saginaw, Michigan to Richard and Wilna Richardson.
Robert attended Saginaw Public Schools. He was a United States Army Veteran. Robert drove trucks and was a very skilled carpenter. He was a people person and a comedian at heart. He loved his family and enjoyed traveling. Robert enlightened us with his singing. He loved the blues, reggae and jazz music. Robert enjoyed fishing, playing cards, slamming dominos and working on cars. Fred Sanford was his idol. We were blessed to have him in our lifetime. He was loved by many.
He leaves to celebrate his legacy his children, Robert Jay Richardson III, Robert J. Richardson, Chery Ainez Richardson, Christopher Ray Richardson, Wilnesha Richardson, Richard Richardson III, Jennell Young, Dammess Patillo, Demarkus Lamont Patillo, Shavonne Jackson Robert Jay Jackson Jr., Antione Green, Lakish (Willis) Davis and Mark (Nitisha) Lindsey; one sister, Johnetta (Robert) Sanders; one brother, Harvey (Trina) Perkins; nine grandchildren; seven nieces and six nephews; many other relatives and friends including his best friends, Rosie Young, Lazrie William and cousin Hue Brown.
Robert Jay was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Wilna Richardson, two brothers including his twin brother, William Ray Richardson and Ezell Richardson, sisters, Virgie Mae Edwards, Mary Loyd Deale, one son, Williams R. Young, nephews, Anthony L. Hardman and Tyrone Parker.
