Robert Simon Jr. (June) our beloved one passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesborough, Georgia. Age 61 years. He was born February 2, 1949 in Bishopville, South Carolina to Robert Sr. and Carrie Lee (McCain) Simon.
Robert moved to Saginaw, Michigan at an early age, he graduated from Saginaw High School in 1967. Robert was employed by General Motors and the Rainbow Bread Company in Saginaw, MI.
He leaves to cherish his most fond memories three sisters, Dorothy Simon-Boone, Carrie Simon-McLeod (Vincent Cook), Saginaw, MI, Rosa M. Bowman, Bishopville, SC.; two brothers, Bishop Kenneth M. (Debwin) Simon Sr., Saginaw, MI, Bernard Joyner, Rantoul, IL; three aunts, Flossie (Morris) Flagg, Bessie (James) Nash, Saginaw, MI, Diane Simon, Bishopville, SC; two uncles, Abe McCain Jr., Bishopville, SC, Sammie (Wendy) Simon, of Flint, MI; special niece, Carrietta Simone Cook; special nephew, Sammie Boone Jr., two special cousins, Carrie Lee (Soloman) Fulton, Bishopville, SC, Rev. William Prince, Sumter, SC; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Georgia Regional Medical Center of Statesborough, GA and Charles Hendrix and family.
Robert will be missed by his smile, advice, words of wisdom and humorous personality.
